Our 7-Step Dental Sterilization Protocol
At Mission Smile Dental Hospital, patient safety is our highest priority. We follow a strict 7-step international sterilization protocol to ensure every instrument used in your treatment is 100% safe, hygienic, and contamination-free.
1. Pre-Cleaning & Chairside Disinfection
All used instruments are immediately wiped, rinsed, and placed in disinfectant solutions to remove blood, saliva, and debris.

2. Ultrasonic Cleaning
Instruments are placed in an ultrasonic cleaner where high-frequency vibrations remove microscopic debris from hinges and hard-to-reach areas.

3. Manual Scrubbing & Rinsing
After ultrasonic cleaning, instruments are scrubbed under running water to eliminate any remaining particles.

4. Drying & Inspection
Instruments are dried thoroughly and inspected for cleanliness, rust, damage, and functionality.

5. Instrument Packaging in Sterile Pouches
Each instrument set is packed in medical-grade sterilization pouches with colour indicators that confirm successful autoclaving.

6. Autoclave Sterilization (Class B Vacuum Autoclave)
We sterilize all instruments in a Class B autoclave, the highest international standard. The autoclave uses steam under pressure to eliminate bacteria, viruses, spores, and fungi.

7. Sterile Storage & Tracking
After sterilization, pouches are stored in a dust-free UV chamber. Every pouch carries a date, batch number, and clinician name to ensure complete traceability.
