      Dr. Angshuman Bhattacharya

      Prof. Dr. Angshuman Bhattacharya did his Bachelors in Dental Surgery from Manipal College of Dental Sciences. He followed this with a Master’s degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from the prestigious AIIMS, New Delhi. He continued his higher education further and completed his Diplomate in National Boards (DNB) in Orthodontics from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Dr. Angshuman has been a Professor in Orthodontics, Post Graduate instructor and guide in Buddha Institute of Dental Sciences Patna for many years. He is a Fellow of World Federation of Orthodontics and International Member of American Association of Orthodontics. He has been a Senior Consultant Orthodontist in Apollo Gleneagles Hospital and Jigme Dorji National Referral Hospital, Thimphu, Bhutan for and presently a senior consultant in Medica Hospitals, Kolkata and several reputed Dental hospitals of the city. He is the founder and director of Mission Smile, Kolkata at Ballygunge. Mission Smile is equipped with 6 chair individual operatories and complete modern Orthodontic Lab set up.

      Dr. Angshuman also has integrated CBCT technology into his practice since last 10 years as he introduced Cone Beam CT to dentistry of Kolkata by starting Pioneer Scans (A Dental Imaging company) with its branches in Howrah, Lake Town and Golpark. He also introduced the first organised Medical Emergency Kit for Orthodontic and dental clinics in the name of Denlife which is being used pan India. He was recently felicitated in Align India Forum 2023 in Kochi followed by 2024 in Mumbai and 2025 in Chennai. This accolade came in recognition for achieving Platinum status in India as a Invisalign Provider. Dr. Angshuman has lectured in Orthodontics in several platforms and has chaired many important sessions incuding international conferences. He has a net clinical experience of 25 years.
